Compassionate relief is when we help people who have a sudden need. This is a very broad thing, manifesting in lots of different ways big and small.  It can be helping someone with a new born baby, helping financially when there is a death in the family, giving support following tropical disasters like typhoon or flood damage, sickness, extreme poverty, supporting local churches, the homeless, orphans and really so much more.

Every month is different and the needs can vary so much. Hands and Feet UK pride themselves in helping others and giving support where there isn’t any. We have provided a young adult whose teeth were rotten, with new teeth therefore a new, beautiful smile. Without her new false teeth she wouldn’t be able to pursue her chosen career as a police officer.  We’ve seen  devastating road accidents resulting in loss of lives and been able to provide the families with comfort and financial support.

Sadly, the Philippines is prone to tropical disasters. Typhoons come through our area regularly and destroy or damage homes and communities. Every time a typhoon comes we provide many of our our local community with food packages enabling them to eat after such devastation. After a typhoon houses are damaged and destroyed and we help them rebuild and settle back into their home.

We never know what the next need will be.  However we will continue to give aid  where we can and help where possible.
